We rent a house in a village that borders directly on the near front of a country through road which has become like a motorway. It's fast and furious with, you name it,  heavy sounding thundering lorries, screeching motor bikes and high speed zooming cars many of which use it as a racing track. They go like there's no tomorrow. We have no double glazing so the noise penertrates every firbre of our home including us! The sound is virtually constant with little or no let up so me and my family cant communicate properly without shouting to each other just to be heard.. I have approached our landlord and pleaded for help explaining how badly it is affecting us, he replied cooly that "we will have to wait a long time before we get help"
I am now at the end of my tether and my nerves are becoming more frayed with time. I have announced this publicly for the first time because although I am usually a kind and restrained person this time I'm speaking out. NOISE POLLUTION IS NOT GOOD. It is highly toxic to individuals and society.
